Hi! I’m Gary, an experienced coach who loves to help people realise their ambitions. I specialise in mental health & anxiety management and additionally job search & interview coaching. I qualified at a Coaching Centre of Excellence and I’ve practiced coaching in both professional and voluntary settings.
What I love about coaching is its simplicity and effectiveness. By setting out the small, manageable steps you need to take, to achieve a goal, you can make the changes in your life that you desire. Be they big, or small.
I first encountered Coaching via a close friend, who inspired me to try it. What I really loved was the shift in my mindset from one of being cautious & timid, to one of empowerment and believing that anything is possible, with the application of focus and motivation.
I’d had a lot of talking therapy, which was beneficial, but what I liked about coaching was the more forward-looking approach. Goal setting enabled me to make real life changes. It made me much more positive and receptive to making real changes in my life.
Before focusing my time on coaching, I spent over 30 years working in leading London companies. This gave me a thorough understanding of workplace dynamics and the anxiety which comes in such environments. This experience uniquely positions me to offer not just life-transforming guidance, but also targeted business coaching and workplace anxiety management solutions.
When I did my coaching qualification, I was taking a break from the corporate world. It was refreshing and energising to study with like-minded people, who I found that I resonated with, more so than with colleagues in the corporate environment.
I've coached both on a professional and volunteer basis I've also presented on coaching, to educate colleagues on how a coaching mindset can be used in the workplace to make things happen.
